Wanna know what is annoying?
When people and organizations change the date of holidays.
It really pisses me off!
Biggest example: Halloween.
Seriously? Halloween is October 31.
Trick or Treating should be therefore done on October 31. Not October 20. Not October 16. Not October 30. Come on!
Why do people do these things?! Celebrate way in advanced, and then do it again, on the actual date? Or even skimp out on the actual date? I just don't understand.
I understand how sometimes family get-togethers can be complicated. If you're married and your spouse's family wants to celebrate with you. As well as your family. So, you break it up. So you can all have that special time together. That makes sense. But not trick or treating on the actual night? Just because Home Depot is hosting a trunk or treat event 2 weeks in advance!? Keep the tradition going, and celebrate Halloween on October 31, please!
It's a once a year event. It's what makes it special.
