I absolutely love Halloween. It's my top favorite day.
It's not a "Holiday" per se, but, it's a wonderful day!
To me, the Holidays are "Christmas, Thanskgiving, and New Year's" Even 4th of July is one...but Halloween doesn't feel like that. I mean, we don't get paid extra if we work it. Yet we can dress up as anything your mind desires.
It's truly awesome.
All the 'scary' witches, the deco, ghosts, zombies, vampires. And especially, the candy! Oh, how I love the candy.
This topic is so scattered. My mind is just so scattered right now.
But anyway.
I drove through downtown last night and tonight, just so I could see all the people dressed up in their costumes. I don't ever go out partying, or clubbing, or go to any specially themed Halloween parties...I'm just not a partier, plus, I don't really get invited anyway. hehe...So, my means of fun is to people watch...and the way to people watch, is to get out there and drive around...
It's refreshing seeing all the girls dressed in cool costumes, and not in skimpy, trampy outfits. I loved seeing them dressed up...girls are always sexy, even if they're covered in costumes...they're not even sexier by showing their tits and ass, just because it's Halloween, the one night they can openly be sluts. LOL
I didn't really get to stare at people this weekend, as I was driving. But I did see a couple of trojans. (Males) Super Woman...not trampy at all! Vampires, Witches...all normal attire!! Soooo refreshing. I saw a panda bear. A squirrel. (Males)
And my favorite, Edward Scissor Hands!! He even walked like him!! It was sooooo cool. I saw a grad student, in his cap and gown! It was hilarious.
This year, my daughters are both dressing up as Bees. I was irked because at every store we looked at, the bee costume for my 9 yr old's size was all skimpy!! I was like, "WTF?! This is for a 9 year old, and it's sexy?! Hell noooooooooooo!" I was disappointed in Target, especially. We always buy the costumes there. This year they had horrible selections. I did buy a fuzzy bee costume for my 3 year old. She absolutely loves it. Already wears it everyday. It's making the 10 bucks we paid for it, worth it. hehe...
So, we found a decent bee costume at Kmart for Cali. It was 22 bucks, but, hey...it isn't sexy or anything. It even came with leggings. And me, I am dressing up as a ghost. Yep. I've always wanted to be a ghost. And I never had the chance. As a child we were poor, so my mom would dress me up in my regular clothes, makes even more holes in them, and call me a bum. We already practically were bums! LOL So, it wasn't much fun. Every year, a bum. Once I was a teen, I stopped dressing up. And when I moved out, I was a kitty. Then for like 3 years in a row I was a Geisha. So this year, I am living it up. I have my white sheet, and I am so ready to be a ghost! Woot! I think we are going to Hugo's aunties hood again, like last year. All I know, I am excited. This time of year rocks.
It's finally getting chilly out. Halloween is here! My birthday just passed. And before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here!
I'm so happy. Sooo so happy!
I can't wait to see what all the kids dress up as! And I can't wait to create memories this year with my daughters! What's even more special? Avelina has now become aware of such holidays...so she's beyond excited to go Trick or Treating! I know she'll be her silly, 'shy' self...but, she'll finally remember the experience!
I wish I could pause time. I don't want this time of year to fly by, again.
