Rambling about nothing...

These past two weeks have been busy, and slow.
We went to Santa Barbara two weeks ago. We were there for just a weekend. We saw our old friends, and went to a baby shower. The baby shower was the whole reason for us going out there. The drive didn't seem too long. We missed a freeway, but it was an easy fix. The weekend ended much too soon.
The husband went back to work the next week, and this past week he was on vacation, again. We didn't do much. He did some packing. We did our daily morning walk. And talked. About nothing serious. Nothing in particular.
Mid-week we went to the mall. Hung out with my friend Kristin, and just killed some time. On Saturday we had the best day of the entire week.
Got up early, went to the swapmeet. We got some bra's and some socks. Then we came home, had shredded beef, black beans, and Mexican rice for dinner. It was oh, so yum.
Then after dinner we went to the library.
I checked out a few books. I already started on "War of the Worlds" I started it last night, and I kept having nightmares! I vow not to read that book right before bedtime, again.

And this morning was just awesome. Avi got up at the normal time, and went downstairs with her daddy and sister...and Me?? I got to sleep in until 10am! That was a very well needed vacation. I was rested. And happy.
Today we really didn't do any errands outside the house. Hugo packed small things. I vacuumed. My vacuum was making some funky noises, so I opened the thing up from where it picks up the trash. The suction was entirely clogged up with stickers, and hair. Gross. But, I cleaned it out, and cleaned the tube...After that, my vacuum sucked better than when we first bought it. I loved the wonderful job it did, that now I am addicted at cleaning the suction tubes clear! LOL...
After I vacuumed, I steamed the wool rug. Avi decided to color on it with a black sharpie marker. I used rubbing alcohol, and the stains disappeared like magic! And with the steamer, now my rug looks newer than new! I love it. So, we rolled it up, and put it away for when we move...that way it stays stain free...

I don't have a specific point. But, here's a picture from our vacation two weeks ago.
